Nursing in the UK
UK nursing programmes are approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and lead to registered nurse status across adult, child, mental health, and learning disability fields. Programmes combine university-based study with extensive supervised clinical placements in NHS hospitals and community settings. Entry Requirements at a Glance
BBB–ABB at A-level typically, often requiring a science or health-related subject and sometimes specific GCSE grades in English, Maths and Science. IELTS ~7.0 overall (or equivalent), reflecting NHS/clinical communication standards. Saudi applicants: Thanawiyya (Scientific or relevant track) is typically combined with an International Foundation Year, or A-level / IB equivalents in the relevant subjects, depending on the specific university's entry route.
