Medicine in the UK
UK medical schools are globally recognised for academic rigour and clinical training, with structured five- and six-year MBBS / MBChB programmes. Jisr supports applicants through UCAS, admissions tests (UCAT/BMAT where required), personal statements, and interview preparation, with careful attention to sponsoring-body approved lists.
Dentistry is supported under the Medicine pathway — UK dentistry applies via UCAS, often uses UCAT, and follows a similar admissions cycle to Medicine.
Entry Requirements at a Glance
Very competitive — typically A*AA at A-level with Chemistry and Biology, IELTS ~7.0 overall (no band below 7.0), plus UCAT or BMAT where required. International applicants (e.g. Saudi Thanawiyya, Scientific track) are normally required to complete an internationally recognised Foundation Year in Medicine/Science or hold A-level / IB equivalents including Chemistry and Biology; Thanawiyya alone is rarely accepted for direct entry to UK Medicine.
These are general indications only. Exact requirements vary by university and course — we advise individually based on your academic profile.
