Gulf & Middle East · United Kingdom

Guiding students from Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East into UK universities.

Jisr Education is an application-support agency for students and families across Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and the wider Middle East, including those applying through sponsorship pathways.

Jisr means 'bridge' in Arabic, which is the role we play between students and UK universities.

Our Headline Service

A home-country recognition check before you apply.

A degree that is not recognised at home may not count for public-sector employment, promotion or entry to a regulated profession. So before you commit, we check the published recognition requirements in the student's home country, such as the Saudi Ministry of Education's Safeer portal. Where a country's requirements are not published or are unclear, we tell you so in writing and point you to the right authority.

  1. 01UniversityWe start with the university you are considering and how it is listed by your home country's recognition authority (for Saudi students, the Ministry of Education's Safeer portal).
  2. 02ProgrammeThen the specific programme and degree level, since published requirements often apply to a programme, not just the university.
  3. 03Home-country requirementsWe compare your choice with the published conditions, including any restrictions on the type of programme or how it is studied.
  4. 04Written resultYou receive a written summary of what the rules say, any restrictions, and what you must confirm with the recognition authority or your sponsor.

We report what the published requirements say. We are not part of, or endorsed by, the Saudi Ministry of Education, the Saudi Cultural Bureau, Safeer or any other recognition authority, and the final decision rests with them.

Sponsorship Pathways

Supporting students through sponsorship pathways.

We help students applying through government or institutional sponsorship schemes secure university offers and prepare the documentation needed for funding approval, such as the Financial Guarantee Letter (FGL). We are not a sponsoring body and do not decide sponsorship. We support the application that comes before the sponsor's decision.

More for sponsored students

How the sponsorship pathway works

  1. 1

    University offer

Secure a university offer. We help you apply to universities and programmes on the approved list.

  2. 2

    Sponsor approval

Present your unconditional offer to your sponsoring body for funding approval.

  3. 3

    Financial Guarantee Letter

Your sponsor issues a Financial Guarantee Letter (FGL) confirming fee coverage.

  4. 4

    Enrolment

Submit the FGL to the university to complete enrolment.

How We're Funded

Why our service is free.

You pay nothing for advice or application support. Here is how that works.

£0fees for advice and applications

Free, start to finish

Advice, applications, the recognition check and support through to enrolment cost you nothing.

No commission today

We are not an appointed agent of any UK university, so nobody pays us for your application. If that changes, we tell you in writing before you commit.

Your choice comes first

Commission never shapes our advice, and we tell you if a course does not meet your home country's recognition requirements.

Extras only if you ask

After you accept an unconditional offer, you can ask us to arrange extras such as accommodation, priced in writing first. They are the only things we charge for, and there is nothing to pay at the visa stage.

If a university only accepts applications through agencies it has appointed, we may suggest a partner agency. We tell you its name and any commission we may share in writing first. It costs you nothing, needs your signed consent, and you can always apply directly instead.

We are not an appointed agent of any UK university. Students may apply to any UK university directly, and we support that process.
